Most of Kawagoe’s popular sightseeing spots are located a bit far from Kawagoe Station.

Main Bus Route

When you arrive at Kawagoe Station, there are plenty of bus routes available to reach the sightseeing areas.
We recommend purchasing a “Tobu Bus 1-Day Pass” before heading out — it’s a great deal if you plan to take the bus three times or more during the day.
You can buy the pass at the “Kawagoe Tourist Information Center”, located just outside the ticket gates of Kawagoe Station.

If you’re wearing a kimono, walking long distances can be tiring — even a short walk may feel challenging. In such cases, taking the bus is a smart option.

Rental Kimono Shop

There are more than 10 kimono rental shops in Kawagoe.
When choosing a shop, it’s helpful to consider the following points:
– Distance from your destination
– Return time for the kimono
– Whether they offer foreign language support

Also, if you’re not used to walking in traditional Zōri sandals, you might get tired quickly. Bringing your own long boots could be a good idea for added comfort.
